Refund Policy

This is not legal advice. Where a mandatory consumer right in your home gives you a stronger refund, that right applies.

Payments are taken by Stripe for Nate, who operates Babelbook, only after live billing is switched on. Until then, checkout does not charge a card.

Plus subscriptions

Plus is $6.99 USD per month or $59 USD per year, billed in advance. You can cancel renewal from Manage subscription on the Plus page. Cancellation stops the next charge. Access continues until the end of the period already paid, unless a payment is refunded or disputed. We do not charge automatic overage fees. Unused monthly credits expire at the end of the period and are not refunded in cash.

If a charge is fully refunded or lost in a dispute, Plus access for that invoice ends. Annual and monthly plans follow the same rule. Contact pjvogl3@gmail.com within 14 days of a charge if the product was unavailable or you were charged in error, and we will review a refund of that charge. This does not limit any cooling-off right you have under the law of the Commonwealth of Virginia, United States.

Credit packs

Credit packs are one-time purchases, currently 200 processing credits for $2.99 USD. They are added to your account when Stripe reports the payment as paid. A pack is not a subscription. If the payment is fully refunded or charged back, we remove those credits from your balance. The balance is not reduced below zero, so credits you already spent are not turned into a debt, but they are also not restored. Sign-up bonus credits are not purchased and are not refundable.

How to ask

Write to pjvogl3@gmail.com from the email on your Babelbook account. Include the date and the Stripe receipt if you have it. You can also request a refund through the card network, which we may treat as a dispute and which can end the related Plus period or credit pack. Promotion codes, when accepted at checkout, change the amount paid; they do not change this policy.
